We are so excited to welcome our new elders: Tammy Goff (installed), Will Fitzgerald (installed) and Kevin Moore (ordained and installed) (1/14/2024). May the Lord bless your leadership and your service, all of you!

Join us at 9:35 am on Sunday, December 24 for a morning Christmas Eve Service. We will also light the fourth candle of Advent. We hope to see you!

In partnership with Pine Bluff pool, we had a great Trunk-or-Treat at the church on October 29, with over 22 children and their responsible adults. Thanks to all the volunteers, including the dedicated souls who decorated their trunks!

What a fun day of VBS we had in July of 2023. It was a joy to have children learning and engaging in our Sunday School rooms and outside on this beautiful day.

We had a blessed Easter Sunday in 2023, welcoming guests from Westminster PC and from Smyrna PC for our sunrise service, enjoying fellowship with one another and guests for a delicious breakfast, and then worshipping God together in our sanctuary service.

Nancy Mader presented six dozen cookies to Mrs. Donna Alexander in support of the Wednesday Religious Education team meeting to be held at Verona United Methodist Church in April 2023. WRE is supporting students of the Augusta County school system, and some additional areas, after two years of inactivity due to Covid-related cautions and restrictions.

Helping our Kentucky Neighbors with Needful Items - August 3, 2022

Hermitage members rose to the occasion to help those in need. An email went out Tuesday at midnight and Wednesday, two-plus cars were loaded to add to what was collected by Glen Kirk Presbyterian Church. All the supplies were taken to the Destiny Family Center in Stuart's Draft, and will be hauled to Kentucky Thursday morning, 8/4. Nice job loving your neighbor today, everyone!

Serve School Families

On July 31, 2022, Hermitage members co-labored alongside members from other Waynesboro-area Presbyterian churches to serve nearly 400 hot dog meals to students and families at the Waynesboro Public Schools' Back-to-School Bash. What a great opportunity to show the community that we care! Thanks to the businesses that contributed food items to the event. Watch for more opportunities to serve alongside these other committed congregations.

The 2019 Annual Church Picnic provided wonderful food and fellowship Sunday evening 8/11/2019 at the Glover Picnic Area. We resumed the picnic in 2021 but were having so much fun, we forgot about pictures!

All ages having fun on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. These yearly picnics are a blessing to us all!

Special Events

Sunday School

Sunday School at Hermitage is for those of all ages. We do take the Summer off. Please join us for learning, fellowship, and yes, laughter.

Congregational Breakfast

Members cook breakfast one Sunday of each month, usually the second Sunday of each month at 8:30AM. The food is wonderful but the fellowship is even better. Check the calendar for next month's breakfast!!!

Birthday Blessings

On the first Sunday each month we celebrate that month's birthdays with cake and goodies in the fellowship hall after Worship Service. Above, Sandy and Kitty have supplied the refreshments for this month.

Our Choir

Our Choir leads us in music and praise each Sunday. Special programs are also presented during Christmas and Easter. If you enjoy praising the Lord with song, please come join us.

Church Picnic

Each Summer we hold a member fellowship picnic. There we enjoy- games for all ages, great food and always wonderful fellowship. Generally planned sometime between August and October.

We at Hermitage do like to eat together!

We have many wonderful cooks and bakers that contribute to our meals and events.
